Rex Moats to Run for Legislature in District 39

ELKHORN, NE - Elkhorn attorney and community advocate Rex Moats announced today that he will be a candidate for the Nebraska Legislature from District 39. Moats is a Nebraska native and has lived a substantial portion of his life in this legislative district.

"I'm running for Legislature to be an independent voice for the families of this district," said Moats. "I'll work hard for lower taxes, I'll fight wasteful spending, and I'll stand up for our quality of life."

Rex Moats is a fiscal conservative who knows that Nebraska’s high tax burden hurts families and small businesses. Rex will lead the fight to simplify the tax code, cut property taxes, and end wasteful government spending.

As a longtime resident of our district, Rex Moats is committed to preserving and protecting our quality of life. Rex and his wife Diane are proud to have raised a family in Elkhorn, and know that strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and local control are critical to preserving our way of life.

Strengthening Our Communities

As the father of four, the safety of Nebraska kids is a top priority for Rex. He supports tougher sentences for sex offenders and drug dealers, and will work with local law enforcement to keep the communities of our district safe and strong.
