Rex Moats to Run for Legislature in District 39

ELKHORN, NE - Elkhorn attorney and community advocate Rex Moats announced today that he will be a candidate for the Nebraska Legislature from District 39. Moats is a Nebraska native and has lived a substantial portion of his life in this legislative district.

"I'm running for Legislature to be an independent voice for the families of this district," said Moats. "I'll work hard for lower taxes, I'll fight wasteful spending, and I'll stand up for our quality of life."

When asked about what factors make for an effective lawmaker, he ably sums up key points involving diplomacy, time management and committee operations.

Moats emphasizes the strategic need to reduce the tax burden. The World Herald and Moats disagree greatly on one issue, Nebraska annexation policy; Moats is a critic of current annexation law in the state.
